MOSES - Young Organic Stewards

YOUNG ORGANIC STEWARDS (YOS)

Young farmers are vital to our future. We are counting on the next generation of farmers to grow our nation’s food, revitalize the countryside and protect our natural resources. Young Organic Stewards is a program of MOSES and Renewing the Countryside that aims to educate, inspire and empower young farmers to thrive in a sustainable, organic system of agriculture. YOS is for any young person (18+) who is interested or involved in organic and sustainable farming.

2012 Organic Farming Conference
During the MOSES Organic Farming Conference 4 workshops and 3 social activities will be offered providing lots of networking opportunities. YOS will also launch a young farmers social networking website at the conference that enables young people to stay connected and share their farming life throughout the year in between conferences.

Scholarships available!
Do you want to be a Young Organic Steward but need a little help making it to the conference? We have funds available to pay for conference tickets ($180 value, including lunches/snacks) and some travel expenses. Apply for a scholarship and join us for the Young Organic Stewards workshops and events.

Visit the YOS conference page to learn more.
